Are Ping Eye 2 Irons worth it?

As the title says, I can buy a set of Ping Eye 2 Irons (3-A) for $190, which seems like a good price. They need new grips, but otherwise, they look to be in great shape. I’m an average golfer who sometimes breaks 100 on a good day. I’m not expecting these clubs to improve my game, but I’d love to hear your opinions and experiences with them!

Ping Eye 2s (3-A) should cost $190, especially if they are in decent condition aside from the grips. The lowdown is as follows:

Traditional Irons: Eye 2s are renowned for their feel and forgiving.
Suitable for Typical Golfers: When things go wrong, their forgiveness can come in handy.
The Grip Is Important: Feel and control will be significantly improved with new grips.

They are a good option for an average golfer who wants some traditional irons, but do not anticipate a miracle swing cure. Have fun with the game!

Just so you know, there is no A or gap wedge for Ping Eye2’s. They were available from 1 iron through wedge, which has a standard loft of about 50°.

From what I’ve seen and heard, Ping Eye 2 irons are a good value at $190 for the full set.
