Amen Corner is a Work of Art

@Ira
Yeah. Weird to include the tees for 14 but not 11.

@Ira
Thank you.

@Ira
Fun fact! OP’s depiction of 11 is correct; Amen Corner doesn’t technically start until the approach shot on 11.

But it also technically ends after the tee shot on 13.

@Dezi
True!

But 14’s tee box isn’t part of the corner.

Very cool, I assume those tees for 14 in the bottom right?

Super senior tees.

Correct!

El Chapo’s Taint is a tougher stretch imo.

Where are the 11 tee boxes?

Way tf back haha.

That green on 11 has to be one of the most diabolical greens in all of the Majors. Then, you have to hit one of the most precise, nerve racking, tee shots of your life for any shot at a birdie on 12. What a course.

My local course has a 3-hole stretch I always thought of as its Amen Corner. On that course, it’s 14-15-16. But this year I have to add the 17th tee box. Because that was the one where that guy broke his driver over that guy’s head.

How many slicers on r/golf would be worried about hitting the next tee deck on each of these holes.

It seems ironic that something named Amen Corner is a place where you’re most likely to blaspheme.

The new tee box location for 13 really changed the look (for the better).

My tee shot on 13 or 14 can’t remember would end on the par 3 tee.

Would work perfect for my slice.
